A new age of technology has dawned. Wireless chargers are becoming more and more common these days with newer smart phones, so I decided to give one a try. This wireless charger is nice and small, and comes with an optional stand which is nice. It is micro USB powered and easy to set up. Simply plug and charge.
It charges well and is very convenient since you don't have to deal with plugging and unplugging, and can used it with the stand to use the phone while it charges!

The Minix NeoN42C-4 is one of the best TV entertainment solutions I have every seen. This is due to several reasons, but mainly including the fact that is is so powerful for just a small portable size, and it being so versatile.
User experience: The user experience coming out of the box is amazing, it has very clean and professional packaging, and includes an HDMI cable, power, mount (we will speak about this later) and the computer itself. From this point on, I will be referencing the NeoN42C as a computer, given its specs and abilities, it is definitely a computer. The computer comes preloaded with Windows 10, this is surprising, as most high end TV solutions come as bare-bone kits and you have to purchase Windows for the machine, definitely a +1. Expect to go through the usual windows setup etc. Overall the user experience was very pleasing, no hiccups or issues. Build Quality The build quality of the computer is staggering, it has a soft matte feeling, that can blend in to any backdrop. The mount the computer comes with is very useful if you wish to hide the computer behind the TV. This is useful in many situations, for example if you want to mount the TV, or if you are using it for a TV at a restaurant. Similarly, the I/O on the box is quite amazing! It comes with HDMI, USB Type C, Mini Display port, Ethernet for super fast speeds, audio output if you wish to use a soundbar, and the typical 12V DC input. You also get a few USB ports on the side which come in handy. It also comes with a kensignton lock, which is handy in an enterprise situation. Performance: The Intel N4200 processor is a powerful little processor, this is not your next i7 gaming machine, but you aren’t paying for that i7 machine. The N4200 is even found in some mid class laptops, let alone a TV computer solution. The box is snappy and responsive, and is perfect for several scenarios, This is onboard graphics, so don’t expect high end gaming, but I wouldn’t be surprised if you could run some light games, as CS GO or some indie games. Interestingly, there is support for ram upgrades, and an M.2 slot, which would give you even more usage of the computer down the line. The 32GB eMMC is more than enough for what the box is intended to do. If you do need more storage, don’t hesitate to invest in an M.2 SSD, which will not only increase your performance, but give you more storage. Overall, the Minix Neo N42 C-4 is an amazing TV and computer solution. It can do just what it’s intended for and more! With amazing features, performance that will get the job done and an affordable price given all of this! After a lot of pressure from family and friends, I finally decided to get these small earbuds that seem to be the new rage in the bluetooth industry. I didn't think I would like them because last time I got similar ones they were so bulky and disconnected too often.
To my surprise, these earbuds were efficiently constructed, balancing power and weight at the same time. They are about 2 cm, which is not too big and does not really stick out if you are outdoors. The great part is, they are COMPLETELY WIRELESS so you have zero trouble tangling the wires. The power buttons on them are nice as well as you just hold the button and the earbuds will turn on. Unfortunately they only seem to work when both earbuds are on, but it is not a big deal because you can just take one off and use the other by itself without turning off. You can double tap the left earphone power to redial your previous number, or press the button to pause music. The battery life is really good as well, and the stereo sound is really impressive for the price. There may be a little hissing sound at times but that easily goes away when you play something. Overall I think these are great earphones for the price, and I recommend anyone try them out if they are looking for a hands-free driving fix, or just casually taking a walk or commuting on the bus! Having used various different sized drones, ranging from 40cm to only 10cm, this wireless technology drone was a new one for me. I have never tried wifi drones before and put this to the test.
I have to note the packaging for this looks really cool, and would be amazing as a gift for anyone. The drone was packaged nicely with all of its accessories. Design and Durability: The drone comes with guards for the propellers to protect it in case of a crash, which will happen a lot for new drone operators. I recommend to only use this drone over grass because even the guards cannot stop a drone from getting damaged after a hard crash on the pavement. The drone itself is relatively light, and I like how the battery and camera are detachable in case they stop working, so you can simply get a replacement. Performance: Like all drones, lightweight is key. The lighter the drone, the longer it will be flying. What I really like is that you can take out the camera if you want for extra long battery life. The motors are fairly strong and this drone lifts off with ease. It can reach very high levels and I do advise that you only fly it high with experience, as you don't want to lose control and risk a crash. The camera quality is not the best, however it is useable and does the job. I like the wireless connectivity however it does get kind of glitchy and slow sometimes. It works great for a budget drone, compared to larger brand names like the DJI and whatnot. I definitely recommend this drone to anyone who is looking for a budget drone that is beginner friendly and has good add ons like a camera and live feedback! Now if you are looking for Arabic/Greek IPTV you will likely have heard of ZaapTV, also seemingly known by its apparent partner company, MaaxTV, and the deal seems to be promising. The most up to date model, with NO MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION advertised everywhere, but I urge you, DO NOT fall for it! Their shady buisness practices, along with the seemingly inexistent customer service requires some more digging,
About 1-2 years ago, I purchased my first ZaapTV, the ZaapTV 209N, and it promised everything, and it provided that too. The quality of the streams were great, high quality etc. However, some months later they randomly stopped the service, and claimed that everyone had to purchase the newer models as they were "upgrading" the infrastructure. They had a trade in program, but you still had to pay over $200 extra for a service you had initially thought was free. So my new ZaapTV 509N arrived in the mail, and I was all excited. Set it up, but I noticed that this version was more filled with bugs than the streets of Beirut. It was essentially unusable. The features promised, such as Screen Recordings never seemed to work or be implemented. And other people had this problem. So what would a normal company do? Immediately update the software, but that never happened. Over the course of the 1-2 years, I only ever received 2-3 updates, and each one made it WORSE! Filling the space with useless ads, and features such as paid VOD and such. Now here is where it all gets worse. One day, my ZaapTV randomly stopped working. Why you may ask? It wanted a "renewal code" . And at this point I lost it. The ONLY reason I bought the box was because of the so blatantly advertised no monthly subscriptions. Thinking this must be a bug, I went on to the website, and sure enough, they had phased out the 509N and wanted me to pay for a 2 year subscription, at $350! Thats the same I payed for the actual device! I contacted ZaapTV customer support, thinking I could get some sort of compensation, or atleast an explanation as to why they violated the terms of my purchase but nothing. No reply at all. So this is where I am, with a $400 IPTV box, but no IPTV. So the TL;DR version, DON'T buy a ZaapTV, the company is shady, and is concerned about only one thing. Taking your money. All Companies now come out with their own take on bluetooth earbuds, and whether that be the original "neck" stlyed earbuds, with a base that you put around your neck, or the big unwieldy cable connected top heavy takes, or even the around the head experience, I have never seen any this unique yet useful. I am surprised nobody thought of this yet, you can use one, OR you can use two! It is perfect, whether you want to listen to music at the gym, or driving and you have to take a phone call, this is perfect for all scenarios!
Some Pros: • Amazing packaging, makes the user experience alot better. • The exterior looks very professional, you could definitely use this in a business situation • Incredibly comfortable, really surprised me. They feel perfect!. • Excellent for gym use, You can use them constantly in the gym, doing cardio, power lifts and many other workouts. They will never fall out. • Sound Quality is good, everything is balanced well. • No cable makes it impossible to tangle • Buttons allow you to control everything on the go. • Comes with a nice carrying case to protect them • 2x 95 mAh battery • Easy to pair and control Overall, I think that AXGIO's AH-T1 True Wirless Earbuds are amazing!. They are unique and are perfect for alot of situations! See it here Quadcopters (A.K.A Drones) have become increasingly popular in the past couple of years, they went from crazy small toys, to beast production quality $10 000+ tools, and in the midst of this many people forget how affordable quad copters can be, you don't have to pay over $1000 dollars for a drone, you can get one for under $200. Now obviously its not going to be the same, however they are very competitive with each other.
UDI has made what I personally think is the best drone in the sub $200 category, it looks amazing and unique, yet still retains all the functionality that you expect. The build quality is amazing, it is large enough that it doesn't look like a toy, but not too big that its unwieldy. It is made of hard plastic and I have no worries of it breaking easily. That doesn't mean it wont though, you should always be careful when flying and only fly outdoors on grassy areas. Usually on these drones, the propeller protectors break easily, I've had that happen twice. The remote is amazing, I love how it is large and has a DISPLAY! You can now see your throttle levels, and telemetry from the flight. The mp camera gets the job done, and is a nice addition. Overall, I think that this drone is amazing bang for your buck, and looks cool while maintaining functionality! See it here I have to say this is one of my favorite household multimedia items ever. What you see is what you get, and more! IXsound integrates cool lighting, impressive sound, and alarm clock all into one item at a great cost! Shipped super fast, comes in a cool package that is packed neatly with the speaker, manual and charger.
Design: The overall design of this speaker is almost perfect! Small, compact and powerful. At first I did not think it would be too loud, however once I connected the bluetooth speaker, knocked up the volume and played the song, lets just say my parents were not too happy :). The lighting is another neat feature and is large enough to light up a small room. The speaker feels very nice in the hands and is made of good quality material. However, the only think I would improve on in terms of design is adding the buttons to the front of the speaker, as it gets kind of annoying sometimes to pick the speaker up and change modes etc. Performance: Let's start with the lighting. The lighting is simply turned on by the touch lightbuld icon on the top of the speaker. There are various modes, ranging from blue to red to green, and the nightlight soft yellow/white colour which is really neat if you want to use it as a nightlight. I personally set this in my washroom as the flourescant lights are much to bring and painful for the eyes at night, this light stays on all night and produces a soft and vibrant lighting environment. Next up is the battery life. I think this speaker has the best battery life of all, as it contains many features, and the lighting alone lasts for atleast a few days if you use it at night. The bluetooth mode gives you a lot of playtime as well. The alarm clock setting is easy to set up with the buttons and overall, everything works flawlessly. Overall this item is great if you are looking for a bedside speaker/nightlight/alarm clock and is really worth it for the money in my opinion. I would recommend it to anyone in need. Here is the product link Note, this item was provided for my honest review. Honestly my favorite earbuds. They are incredibly durable, sound amazing and are surprisingly comfortable. Coolife has really surprised me with these. Here are some things I really liked about these headphones
Overall, I think that the Coolife HM2040's are incredible. They are my go to earbuds, they look incredible, feel remarkable, sound flawless and are priced affordably. Here is the product link: Please Note, they were sent to me for review. ►Intro Very Useful! My ideal choice for Media Consumption, since it comes preloaded with Kodi, you can get up and running watching your favourite shows and movies in a matter of minutes! This is literlly a beast TV Box, best TV Box I.ve ever tried! Like seriously it is so fluid and premium ►Functionality Kodi is one of the main reasons this device sells. The open source cross platform addon repository and installer, that fetches data and videos from throughout the internet, is one of the best and most popular TV software out there. From the BBC iPlayer to 1Channel, to Soundcloud, you'll never get bored! ►Build Quality Now the actual device itself is no petty player, rocking an incredible Quad Core beast processor, 2GB DDR3, 16GB flash storage and Android 5.1 Lollipop, aswell as a penta core GPU. Inside the box, HDMI Cable, Air Mouse Remote Control, the device itself, aswell as BATTERIES! FINALLY! A company includes batteries! The manual is very easy to read, and the packaging is surprisingly intuitive, with an amazing material design aspect. ►Usability The usability is amazing, works perfectly, and very fluid. The wifi is very fast, and it has 4 USB inputs, which is amazing, You can use 1 for a mouse and keyboard, 1 for a usb to watch movies, one for a charging your phone and still have one spare one! The 2.5 Inch HDD Input is what really blew me away. I've tried dozens of TV boxes, and never encountered one with a HDD input! Like seriously, you could use this as a server! To conclude, this Android TV box is astounding, it accomplishes everything I expected from it, and does more. From very easy user interfaces, to a plethora of video ad dons that allow you to watch TV Live, or watch your favorite movies and TV shows! All of this at an afordable price point, makes this an incredible purchase. Here is the product link: Please Note, this item was sent to me for a review, yet that did not effect my review integrity. Now having previously been unexperienced with high end Remote Control cars, I decided to take a good couple days to review this one, and boy am I glad I did. It is incredible, like seriously the coolest thing I have ever tried. ►Build Quality The build quality is unlike any that I’ve seen. Premium build quality, like seriously this thing is a beast. I could honestly drop it off a cliff, and not fear it breaking. The whole thing is suspended with springs, so it can elevate the weight and forces when it falls or jumps. The whole thing is made of hard plastic, and hex and Philips screws. Which is really convenient, when you need to replace a part or clean the car. ►User Interface/Friendliness The user interface is incredibly, really blue me away. Just the fact that all you have to do is plug the battery in, and away you go! I didn’t even have to read the manual! The big wheel is for turning the wheels in large increments and the smaller knob is for minor adjustments. The “trigger” is the throttle control. Pull it down and it goes forward, push it up and it goes backward. The simplicity is amazing. Now once you start driving it, it takes a couple minutes to get used to its power, I highly recommend for first time users to use it OUTSIDE at first, and always take it slowly, there is no reason to be mashing the throttle as soon as you start. Once you get the hang of it, it is incredible. ►Performance The performance is jaw dropping. I was literally doing donuts and drifts within the first hour of using it! It is incredibly nimble, especially on dusty surfaces, you can do astonishing drifts and donuts. I tested it out on thick grass, and as long as you maintain speed, you’re good to go! The pavement, in my opinion is the best place to drive it, it goes super-fast, but that doesn’t mean it can’t go fast on different surfaces. Grass is amazing, rocks are amazing, gravel is superb and overall it can go amazingly fast. It also has a signal of 80+ meters! ►Maintenance I usually don’t add maintenance as a separate category, but with RC cars it is a must. The wheels can get quite dirty, and if you plan to store this inside (which I highly recommend) it is super easy to remove the wheels. You just use the included hex screw driver and unscrew the nuts from the rims. Speaking if rims, they are what seem to be made of a mix of metal and plastic, I would suspect metal with a plastic coating to protect them. In fact, the whole car can be completely taken apart and reassembled. The only thing I would change is the way the top of the car is connected to the base, it uses clips that are kind of annoying to take out and place back. If you’re not careful, you can damage the top of the car ►Conclusion To conclude, I am honestly blown away by the level of concentration and detail was put into designing, testing, manufacturing and marketing the GPTOYS S911 RC Car! It is amazing, incredible build quality, amazing functionality, and of course a lot of fun! I would love to do more reviews like this one, of RC Cars, they are my new favorite thing to review! This item was provided for review, yet my opinions are in no way bias. Check them out here: Amazon I love using these Earbuds! High Quality Materials used all throughout the earbuds. Very Neat Features including microphone, little sizing clip and even magnetic backs that help them stick together in transport!
Once I received the package, I immediately new that these earbuds were NO joke. They where packaged very neatly and nicely, and included inside was a VERY useful carrying case. Unlike other carrying cases this one uses hard outer materials to protect the earbuds inside.Once you unzip the carrying case, you are greeted with a very high quality charging cable, and then you have the earbuds. These earbuds blew me away, they aare made of full metal, with comfy rubber eartips and ear hooks, aswell as a flat cable to so astonishing build quality. Along with a spot to put the earbuds you have a spot to put all the interchangable ear tips and earhooks so you can change them on the go. Functionality wise, they are great! Pairing is super simple, you just hold the power button connect to "Parasom" and away you go! A really neat thing is that you can clip the two buds to each other using magnets so you can easiy transport them. The sound quality is no joke either, with superb sound quality. The bass is perfect, highs are great and lows are also perfect. You can get them surprisingly loud, and not waste the battery life. I haven't charged them for 4 days, at all. I took them right out of the box and began testing. So to conclude, Parasom has really done a good job designing and engineeriing the ideal consumer product. Great Build Quality, Astonishing Sound Quality, Easy Connectablity, all priced at a super affordable price! Here is the link for all those interested: Here This item was provided for review, yet my opinions are in no way bias. If you want me to review any other products please let me know in the comments! Thanks Now, I am trying to create a new segment, and I am going to call it Minute Read. A quick review of an item I use in my everyday life, that can hopefully benifit you guys, the Audience. Today I am going to be discussing power bricks, and specifically this one I bought off Amazon. Here
Now after having my cheapo power strips burn up and nearly cause a fire, I decided to look into more high quality options. One thing you all power strips must have is reliability, and with the cheap ones from the dollar store they usually compromise that for price, after this frustration I decided to look into more high quality options that come with a surge protector. And boy am I glad I did. Just knowing that all my electronic devices plugged into It are safe, and my phones won't overcharge and damage the battery makes this an ideal purchase. Safemore though, has really done great on this one. The creative design paired with the incredible build quality and functionality makes this a great option. The 4 USB ports are enough to meet my everyday needs, and the 8 charging ports are more than enough for my everyday needs. I really love the power buttons though, the ability to turn off one side and keep the other one on is perfect unlike traditional power strips where they flip from on to off all at once. Overall, I think Iselector (Safemore) has really made sure that this affordable priced product is actually premium. The incredible build quality, paired with elegant design makes this an ideal purchase. It also comes with many safety certifications! Great Microphone, Great Price. Much better than any dynamic microphone I've tried.
►Specifications Single Unit: Super-Cardioid Condenser Microphone Directivity: Omni-directional Frequency Response:20Hz-16KHz Sensitivity:-38dB plus or minus 2dB (0dB=1V/Pa at 1kHz) Output Impedance:150 Ohm plus or minus 30% (at 1kHz) Load impedance: >=1000 Ohm Equivalent Noise level: 16dB A Max. Sound Pressure Level: 132dB (at 1kHz <= 1% T.H.D) Noise Ratio: 78dB ►In the box The Microphone comes in a very high quality box, with the XLR to 3.5mm Jack cable, a anti wind protector, and an anti shock stand. It also comes with a very informative high quality specifications manual. Its all placed in an accurately cut foam block. ►Set Up Setting up is very easy, just plug it into your mixer board/Phantom power supply of choice and off you go. Very easy, took less than a minute. So thats a plus. The only thing that knocked off a star was the lack of included phantom power. I understand, that at this price point, adding a phantom power supply is nearly impossible. But I would rather pay 20 dollars more for the whole thing and have it include a phantom power supply. Now don't get me wrong, this isn't a "we stole our money" scenario. Thankfully, XSCOURCE clearly states MANY times that it will require phantom power, so for that, Ill add half a star. So if I could, the rating would really be 4.5 Stars ►Build Quality Microphones in this price range don't usually have good build quality. But this microphone startled me. I was expecting plastic everywhere, but I was pleasantly proven wrong. Metal EVERYWHERE, High Quality materials used all around the microphone. Even the cable feels expensive. A very nice add on is the anti shock stand, just screw it into your boom pole/mic stand of choice and your good to go. ►Sound Quality The sound is astonishing. Very clear, very crisp. This is due to the microphone being a Condenser style microphone, as appose to a Dynamic style microphone. Not really much to say here, the sound is incredible. No complaints what so ever. Best microphone I've ever used. ►Conclusion To conclude, the XCSOURCE BM-800 Condenser Microphone is the best I've ever used. The price is great, the sound is incredible, the customer support is great. Only thing I would change is adding phantom power, other than that it is perfect. Thanks for your time, if you found this review helpful please let me know by leaving a comment and sharing with your friends. If not, also let me know, I am always trying to improve my review process. Here is the product link: http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00NFCDJX0 Headphones. Something all humans who browse the Internet can't seem to live without. Weather doing intense gaming, or light Youtube browsing your going to wan't a decent pair of "cans". Most people are just going to opt for random brands, which claim great specs but sound like your listening to music through water. Not these headphones. Bluedio has really struck something. Something magical, I don't know what, maybe its the incredible build quality, or the high quality drivers, or even the Bluetooth 4.1 Capabilities. Maybe it was the unbelievable battery life, or the 3.5 mm input in case you don't have Bluetooth. What I'm trying to get at is that these pair of headphones are PERFECT.
Build Quality When these headphones arrived I was surprised. It had only taken them ONE DAY to ship. Now, being somebody who is used to items arriving in over a month, this was a big plus. When I opened the packaging I was pleasantly greeted with a high quality, organized box. Stating clearly the model and specs of said headphones. Once I opened the box, There where the headphones. Snugly packaged with the accessories box neatly packaged beneath. I got the headphones, powered them on and paired them to my phone within seconds. Even WITHOUT reading the manual! The whole headphone unit feels like it cost $100+, while it only costs around $30. The ear cups feel great, high quality leather and other materials can be found around the whole body. Most buttons are tactile but for an odd reason, my volume down button was slightly mushy. This is just a 1 in a 100 case scenario. In no way does it affect functionality though. Sound Quality I am lost for words. The sound is incredible. Astonishing. Beautiful. No amount of words can describe the sound quality entering my ears. The bass is perfect, the volume can be increased/decreased to your liking. Highs are perfect, lows are perfect. And especially compared to other headphones in this price range, if you love good quality sound, you HAVE to get these. Conclusion Overall these are the go too headphones, the only con I have encountered is that due to my tiny ears, the earcups go around my ears, but not fully. (The human ear is slightly oval). After using them for 2 hours straight (much more than the average consumer would) My ears start to get uncomfortable. Only worry about this con if you have tiny 12 year old sized ears, other than that they're great. One thing I really liked is the ability to swivel the earcups while wearing them. Perfect for office use, if somebody is trying to talk to you, you aren't forced to take them off. Nothing more to say really, Both build and sound quality are astonishing. Price is great. Here is the link to where I got mine. http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00Q2VIW9M Merry Christmas! Now, the AMD FX 600 has been around for a LONG time. It was first introduced in October of 2012 and people wen't nuts. AMD then introduced the 6350 in spring of 2013. The FX series was the go to for budget builds. The more famous FX 6300, its younger brother got most of the fame as there is a small difference between the two, noticeable? Let's find out!
Now the AM3+ Socket is again, a very old socket but there is so much overclocking potential. If you buy an FX processor you SHOULD be overclocking, given how easy it is. One downside of the old socket, and a personal pet peeve is the BIOS. Many BIOS from 2012 look horrible. Blue screens with no mouse support, like really? Although this is mainly just a pet peeve, so try and not let it be a big buying influence. The FX 6350, compared to it's younger brother the FX 6300 is pretty much the same. Only difference is a higher stock clock speed and that extra "50" at the end. Although it has a slightly lower overclock. For an extra 15 dollars, the only person I would see in buying the 6350 OVER the 6300 is if you don't feel comfortable overclocking, and have an extra 15 dollars to spend. Now, enough with the talk, lets see how they perform. I usually just install everything and run the gaming benchmarks, gaming scores usually give a good representation of the graphics card, and not so much the CPU. So here are some quick benchmarks. Black Friday, the day every college student, buyer on a budget, or broke teenager waits for throughout the year. Everywhere you turn, SALE SALE SALE. Now this can become overwhelming so I decided to take some time, and compile what I think are great deals.

We are really sorry for the lateness of our posts, and we understand your concerns, but we have been RENOVATING! I know right, hopefully after the renovation we will be posting WEEKLY as we now have a professional set up.
Thanks for your patience! Now time to review an all time legend. The FX 8370, the big brother to the 8 core beast of a processor; the FX 8350. The 8370 has 8MB of L3 cache, and 4x2MB of L2 cache, 8 physical cores and has a speed of 4 Ghz (turbos to 4.3 Ghz). Paper specs are all good, but the real test is when it is in the field, doing what it is built for, gaming. The 8370, paired with an R9 390 can handle EVERY game I have thrown at it so far, maxing out most of them. constant 80 min FPS at 1080p. Just look at the benchmarks. Now, all the points I have made have been "pros", but there are rarely any pros without some cons. The FX 8370 has a high power consumption, 125w TDP, with high temps (60 degrees during load) using the stock CPU cooler. This issue can be easily solve by picking up a Hyper Evo 212 cooler for around 30 bucks. The FX 8370 also lacks single threaded performance, but this is mostly made up by the 8 cores.
Other than that, the FX 8370 is an incredible processor at an incredible price. Great for gaming, everyday browsing, and your wallet. Don't worry though, this isn't the last of the 8370, stay tuned to hopefully see a comparison between the 8370 and the I5 4690k. Thanks for you're time, have a nice day! Now, when AMD sent me their new A10 7870k I was quite surprised. For one, I didn't know what to expect. Many people had told me it was an upgrade to the Kaveri lineup, but the numbers would have to speak for themselves. Now lets get started! Why should you buy I'm not going to go over all the reasons to buy an APU, as I did that in the last build so you can go check that out, instead here are some pros and cons. Pros:
Cons:
Benchmarks The motherboard we used to benchmark the A10-7870k was the Gigabyte GA-F2A88XM-D3H , a great sub 80 dollar FM2+ motherboard that supports crossfire, so you may eventually crossfire any R7 graphics card with the IGPU. We also used Corsair Vengeance Pro 8GB 2133Mhz ram Edit: GTA V FPS IS NOT 78 ITS 58!!!! Sorry for the mixup
Conclusion Now for the hard part, the conclusion. The main purpose of an APU is to acheive an extent of full graphics card capibilities in pretty much 0 % of the space. Instead of buying a processer and a graphics card you can just buy a processor. Was that achieved? Sort of, as you can tell, the gaming capibilites aren't that incredible, but they are playable. Overall this processor is targeted toward those who are going to do light to medium gaming, or have no issue playing at 720p. It is also great for an HTPC (home theater pc). Thats all, if you guys liked the review, please share it with your friends, or leave a comment with some support/constructive criticism. Where have I been you're asking? Well, I've been planning and building my Orynx, my new AMD APU build, for under 500 dollars.
CPU/GPU: AMD A10-5800K Whats that? Well APU stands for Accelerated Processing Unit. An APU acts as a CPU and a GPU but in one chip. Why melt a GPU onto a CPU you may be asking? Alright I need to stop asking rhetorical questions, but the Pros of an APU are that it is great for budget builds, due to it not needing a separate cooler and VRAM. It is also great for portability this is excellent for laptops, as there is no need for a separate graphics card. Why haven't we all switched to APUs? With all pros there must come cons, even if they're little. APUs must use the system ram, and dedicate that to the GPU. This pretty much means that if you are planning on doing any hardcore gaming, you're going to want atleast 8Gbs of high speed ram. Another con is that the GPU may not be that great, this may be the case for the chip I used (A10-5800k) as it was an older generation chip, but the newer A10-7850k and A10-7870k use R7 graphics, which perform outstandingly. The reason I didn't choose the newer A10s was my personal budget wouldn't allow it, so keep checking in to this blog and maybe AMD would have hooked me up with one to do another build. Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-F2A88XM-D3H. This is the go to board for FM2+ budget-mid range builds. The board has been reviewed many times so I won't waste your time, and just link TimmyTechTv's video. The main reason to choose this motherboard though is the crossfire support, so that you can later crossfire a graphics card with the onboard graphics. Ram: AMD R9 Gamer Series 2400mhz 8Gb Kit. I couldn't let myself create an AMD APU build, and not use AMD ram. It was priced great, (at only $74 CAD), and made me feel great. It was easily over clocked, and how can you letdown lifetime warranty? HDD: WD Caviar Blue 1TB 7200 RPM. Simple, fast, reliable and large storage. An SSD could be a future option, especially an AMD SSD to go with the AMD theme. Case: The Corsair 200r. The legendary budget mid tower case, with great airflow, and a user-freindly interface. I was debating for a while whether to go with this case, or the Deepcool Tesseract SW, but you can choose either one. Simple yet effeciant or loud and powerful with LED lights. Overall the 200r was a great case to build in, but I kind of wish I would have been able to give the Deepcool case a run for its money. Power Supply: EVGA 500W 80+ Bronze. A great power supply for the price, I could have easily gone with a CX500 and not been worried but the price on the EVGA PSU was a bit less. Conclusion: Now onto the conclusion, one of the hardest parts of any build. Overall the AMD APU was incredible, I could run any game at 720p-1080p medium/max settings. Skyrim, GTA V, CS:GO. Every game I threw at it, the APU was able to run. The only thing I would do next time is instead of going with the A10 5800k, I would definitely choose an A10-7850k or even better a 7870k. Well now you can. Microsoft's Xbox subdivision announced that games from the Xbox 360 will now be playable on the newer generation Xbox One. This means that you can play older games, or exclusives on your Xbox One.
Mike Ybara, head of platform engineering at Xbox demonstrated this by playing his "favorite Xbox 360 game, Mass Effect". Boasting on how it will play better, and can now utilize the Xbox One voice commands by telling his Xbox One to "take a screenshot". Xbox also announced that they will be releasing a new Xbox One Elite controller, with more customizable and remappable buttons. You can add steel paddles, so that you're thumbs can always remain on the thumb sticks, and much much more. One of the only downsides it that the unit is priced at a whopping $149.99. If you discussed Virtual Reality 10-20 years ago, people would have thought you crazy but Virtual Reality has become more and more popular. Companies like Ziess, Google, Samsung, Sony and Oculus have all come up with their own models of VR. Ranging from cheap $12 cardboard phone slots to incredible $350 full fledged machines. When Sony came up with Project Morpheus, many did not know what to make of it but little did they know that Sony was now one step ahead of Microsoft. Sony had VR and Microsoft didn't.
That may all change with Xbox announcing that they will be partnering with Oculus, makers of the Oculus Rift, the legendary VR system that was announce at CES a couple years back. Xbox states that every Oculus will now ship with an Xbox One controller. This is a large leap in the VR realm ;) due to the fact that there hasn't been a standard for VR, each game must be made specifically for the VR set of choice. You can now play Xbox one games on the Oculus Rift! So in conclusion, the tables have turned and the battle has gone from Xbox and PlayStation, to Oculus and Project Morpheus. Recent rumors suggest that Blackberry may finally be considering a phone that runs Android. This would be an incredible but difficult decision to make, due to the resources and funds that the company entrusted when the remade Blackberry OS. Although these rumors may seem practical, they may have been shut down immediately. "We don't comment on rumors and speculation, but we remain committed to the BlackBerry 10 operating system, which provides security and productivity benefits that are unmatched" The company said, (According to The Verge).
So, incase you're wondering in the near future, I am hoping to conduct an experiment. Many people have been speculating that compressed air is bad for the environment, but when I saw Emzone and their non-ozone layer depleting compressed air cans, I thought "Lets put that to the test". More information soon to come! They also claim to have zero residue, that one will be interesting to test aswell
